Katelyn Kidwell, LCAT
Associate Clinician
As a therapist my goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible when therapy gets uncomfortable. I work from a place of transparency, warmth, humor, curiosity, and compassion. Play and big feelings are always welcome in our sessions together.
As a drama therapist, I utilize traditional talk therapy and creative practices. Want to work on having a difficult conversation? Let’s do a role play. Tired of talking? Let’s create something. Want to feel more connected to your body? We can move together. No experience in any creative art is necessary–just you and a willingness to lean in. I have an extensive array of methods to utilize. These include movement, writing, role work, visual art, text work, embodiment, puppetry, improvisation, and image work.
I specialize in the treatment of Eeating Disorders and trauma. My experience includes people with dementia, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, OCD, complicated grief, and ADHD. My work is HAES informed, trauma informed, humanistic, and relational. Systems impact people–let’s talk about it. Welcome!
In my free time you can find me: reading, learning how to make iced tea that actually tastes good, spending time with my spouse, dreaming about getting a cat, or planning my next tattoo.
